Position Summary:
The Business Development Representative – Data Centre is responsible for aggressively developing our business by prospecting new customers and creating mutually beneficial business opportunities. This role includes growing business with current customers by promoting the total product offering to fulfill their needs in southern Ontario with a focus in the Toronto/GTA areas. This position provides the highest quality customer care, following corporate objectives and revenue goals.

Major Responsibilities:
• This is a “hunting” role that will actively seek new customers in the territory that will enable us to secure profitable business while maintaining and developing relationships with current customers.
• Identify, prospect, build and harvest new opportunities within the Data Centre space.
• Promote and sell products and services to new and existing customers.
• Assist in preparing and presenting pricing, credit terms, warranties and delivery dates.
• Participate in training sessions, trade shows and sales meetings as required.
• Team up with other company resources where appropriate to present and leverage total company solution capability.
• Ensure compliance with company sales policy.
• Strive for continuous growth and improvement.

Preferred Skills & Experience:
• Technical degree or diploma preferred but is not mandatory.
• Three years of relevant sales or industry experience is considered an asset.
• Must have a passion for sales and a “hunter” mentality when driving new business.
• Knowledge of Data & Communications products is considered an asset.
• Experience with Salesforce is an asset.
• Must have excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong negotiating skills.
• Able to prioritize work and ability to be flexible and work independently.
• Consistently able to meet deadlines competently and in a timely fashion.
• Possesses strong relationship-building skills to cultivate and develop customer loyalty.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Products.
